• Falkland Pairs 2012

Falkland played their 2011 - 12 season pairs competition on Saturday 14th January 2012 at Kinross Curling Rink.

The competition was fought over 4 hours with John having to wait until almost the last moment to do his complicated maths in deciding on who goes through to the high and low roads. Going into the finals fortunes swapped around a couple of times with Graham Nimmo (Skip) and Morag Wylie winning through to take the trophy.  Margot made it a bit of a family trend as her husband Robert won this trophy last year.

Winners of the Low Road Medal were John Scobie (Skip) and Dianne Matthew.

Marianne presented the medals and trophy to the winners, thanking everyone for taking part and then reserving special thanks to John Fairfield for all his hard work in making the competition such a success.

This competition also saw Mev Hutchison promote our youngest member Gregor Bousie to skip some of his games with interesting results.  When asked how they got on all Mev would say was "Aye the laddie did OK".

Throughout the season our club members are a bit like ships that pass in the night so it was good for so many of the members to be able to spend some time together with time to socialise.  This event remains a highlight of the Falkland curling season and long may that last.
